Saddlers Mead Multi Storey Car Park
Chippenham, Wiltshire
In June 2020 MMA Car Park Safety Systems supplied 900 square metres of Webnet stainless steel wire mesh infill for the Saddlers Mead multi-storey car park project in Chippenham, England. The redevelopment project not only saw the car park receive a complete makeover, but also saw the creation of over 70 new spaces, including 12 electric vehicle charging points as well as coach and motorcycle spaces.
Our Director Nikki Errington project managed the programme, providing design assistance, technical advice, and installation training for Contrasol Ltd, who completed the Webnet installation in December 2020.
Due to its low visual impact, high strength and longevity, Webnet was specified to provide a fall protection barrier between the car park levels. Jakob Webnet is made from 316 Stainless Steel, meaning it has an extremely long life span and can withstand all types of climatic and atmospheric conditions, including vehicle fumes.
Proven in projects across the UK and indeed worldwide, MMA has been successfully supplying and installing the Car Park Safety System for over 15 years in many different applications, Webnet types and location.
Like most multi-use car parks, not all openings were the same dimensions, but thanks to Webnet’s flexibility, the installers were able to easily cope with awkward and unusually shaped openings.
The whole project ran smoothly, and our client commented to Nikki: “Thank you for all your assistance on this project. It has been an absolute pleasure working with MMA and you and your team were a great help from start to finish”.
